Little known player in the Indian handset market, Airfone is aiming high with its eye set on the top 5 handset brands in the country.
“Our aim is to become one of top five handset companies in India. Our plan is to ensure that Airfone is known throughout India as a value phone brand. We plan to cover atleast 80% of India by end of fiscal year 2009-10,” says Vishal Chitkara, Director Airfone.
The company also launched three handsets namely Flip 29i, AF26 and AF31 for mobile subscribers in India.
The Flip 29i model is equipped with a 1.3 mega pixel camera, touch screen, dual SIM, MP3, video recorder, continuous video recording feature, 2GB Micro SD card. The Drak Grey coloured model is priced at Rs 4,999/- and comes with free standard accessories valued at Rs 500.
The other model, AF 26 which is Black coloured has a extra long battery life for up to 15 days, expandable memory up to 8 GB, music player, voice recorded, Bluetooth, speaker phone, VGA Digital camera, 3 Torch & GPRS support. It is priced at Rs 2,999/-
The third model, AF31 is a dual SIM phone which can support 2 GSM SIMs or one GSM and one CDMA SIMs. The memory can be extended up to 16 GB. It also has VGA digital camera Audio/Video recorder, torch, Bluetooth, GPRS support, stereo FM radio. The black coloured model is priced at Rs 4,999/-.
