While competitors reel under low shipments, LG predicts 20% growth next year
The company is banking on demand from emerging markets including China, India and other parts of Asia

Leading handset manufacturers may have cautioned over limited growth next year in wake of drop in demand for handsets due to ongoing slowdown. But Korean player, LG Electronics is still upbeat and in fact is aiming for a 20% rise in handset sales not only this year but in 2010 as well.

The company is banking on demand from emerging markets including China, India and other parts of Asia.

In Q3 09, the company recorded revenues of $ 3.53 billion at a yoy growth of 25 % with 31.6 million unit shipments which again is at a 37% growth and 6% rise on a sequential basis.
