Sun Micro ends two decade association with Texas, appoints Taiwan Co for chip making

Sun Microsystems, US computer and software maker has chosen Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSM) to make its computer chips.

 

Currently Sun Microsystems had an association with Texas Instruments for the same and the two companies were in alliance for the last two decades.

 

The deal means that TSM will make microprocessors that have circuitry measured at 45 nanometers, or billionths of a meter.
