AT&T Inc, Top US Phone Company announced to invest $1 billion to expand networks and its services in key markets globally this year.

Greg Brutus, a spokesman for AT&AT Asia Pacific region said that the amount does not include AT&T’s investment in the US. He further added that the investment will be made to build sub-sea optical fiber cable in Asia and for an ethernet network in Europe and Asia.

In the previous year, AT&T spent $750 million outside the US of its total investment of $18 billion.
