ValueFirst acquires telecom software firm, Packet Shaper

ValueFirst Messaging which specializes in offering enterprise mobility and communication solutions announced its second acquisition within 6 months with the latest acquisition of Noida-based Packet Shaper which specializes in developing Telecom Software.

Packet Shaper’s portfolio includes Switching, Dialers, IVR, Calling Cards and IP-PBX. Additionally its Pocketmail (email on sms) product at BSNL for making emails available on the mobile through sms without having to depend on expensive products like Blackberry. Pocketmail is designed for both consumers and corporates’ with a mobile work force.

Packet Shaper founder CEO, Mr. Saumendra Mohanty who will continue to run the company said, “Over the years Packet Shaper has specialised in developing Telecom and Mobile VAS software products catering to B2B market. We see tremendous synergy in associating with ValueFirst as they operate in same Eco System in a much larger scale. Together we complete the product range as required in the converged IP, Telecom and Mobile VAS market and shall scale up considerably riding on the domestic and global sales reach of ValueFirst in Operator and Enterprise market.”

According to Kumar Apoorv, COO, said, ”ValueFirst, “This acquisition will help ValueFirst innovate  at a much faster pace and get massive momentum in several new areas. With clear synergies between the two companies I see Packet Shaper becoming a 40 – 50 crore business in the next 3 years for the ValueFirst group.”

Last year in October, ValueFirst had acquired Cellnext.
