Nominations Invited for the ‘Sat Paul Mittal National Award 2010’ from Individuals’ & Institutions / voluntary organizations from Delhi & NCR

Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust, founded by the Late Shri Sat Paul Mittal, MP in 1983 to propagate the ideologies of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, has invited nominations for the ‘Sat Paul Mittal National Award for Outstanding Services to Humanity’ for the year 2010. The award will be given in two categories – Individual (s) and Institution (s). Both the categories carry a prize of Rs. 2 lakhs along with a citation and a medal. The nominations can be sent to The President, Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust, Feroze Gandhi Market, Ludhiana - 1410001 or mailed in pdf format at gen.secy@nskt.org.

Nominations are invited for honouring individuals and institutions /voluntary organisations working in areas including but not limited to health, education, environment, disabled, food, shelter, poverty alleviation, art, culture, child rights and women empowerment. The nominations for the award are invited from across India including New Delhi & NCR and would be received till September 30, 2010. A jury consisting of eminent persons would finalize and announce the winner amongst the eligible applications submitted.

Nominations for the Award can be sent with complete details of both the nominator and the nominee in the individual and institution categories. The details must include complete background information, field of activity, research and other achievements of the nominee duly supported with adequate evidence signed by the nominator.

The past recipients of the Sat Paul Mittal National Award for Outstanding Services to Humanity includes – Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak (2009), Dr. R.K. Pachauri (2008), The Banyan & Dr. D.R. Mehta (2007), Mrs. Ela R. Bhatt (2006), Dr. Sahul Bharti (2005). Further details of the award are available at www.nskt.org.
