VAS player, Handygo has forged an exclusive arrangement with Sony BMG to bag digital rights for 12 premium movies including Bollywood as well as South movies.

According to Mr. Praveen Rajpal, CEO of Handygo, “Regional content accounts for 40-50% of the mobile music market in India. Hence, Handygo is looking to acquire more content in the regional space. “

The movies under the deal include Raajneeti, Raavanan, I Hate Luv Storys, Crook. Handygo will be the sole WAP content provider for the 12 movies. The services will be available on most networks including Airtel, Reliance, Idea, Tata, Aircel and Vodafone.

Contests, wallpapers, animations and music will also be on offer.
