Indiatimes launches voice-based social networking service ‘Hibuddy’ for mobile subscribers

Indiatimes announced the launch of ‘Hibuddy’ voice-based social networking and blogging service for mobile subscribers.

Users need to call 58888199 and create their voice channel through which they can connect to other users.

According to Indiatimes, the services does way the need of internet required to connect to social networking sites and instead uses voice as the medium for connectivity.

The service allows users to sing songs, listen to shayari, share opinions on movies and join groups/forums of interest will friends or like-minded people.

Speaking about Hibuddy, Rishi Khiani,CEO, Times Internet Limited(Indiatimes) says,  “Social networking and blogging has seen rapid growth in India, this service will extend the growth, for mobile phone users. This will allow users to connect to one another in real-time through social interactions on voice, which is a more personal medium. I feel Hibuddy should be the 'next big thing' in social networking & voice blogging in India"

There are also channels such as Shivani ki chatpati duniya where users can share instant recipes, Kabeer ka PJ world allowing users to share jokes and share gossip with Shweta ke gossip golgappe.

Sid ka Biking world enables users to get tips on cars and bikes. Users interested in finding dates can opt for Saurabh ki Love ki pathshala. The service is presently available only to Reliance subscribers but will be available to other users as well soon.
