ZTE Deploys World''s First Large-Scale Commercial GPON-based Mobile Backhaul Network for TELKOM Indonesia

ZTE Corporation, announced it has successfully completed the world's first large-scale commercial GPON-based mobile backhaul network for TELKOM Indonesia, a full-service telecom operator in Indonesia. The project is the first such large-scale commercialization of GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Networking) backhaul technology, and is based on ZTE’s mobile network platform.

"ZTE has been dedicated to broadband development models in Asia-pacific countries for years," said Mr Xu Ming, ZTE Vice President and Fixed-Line Product Line General Manager. “This world's first GPON-based backhaul mobile network with the most abundant scenarios will be a global commercial FTTx deployment model ZTE is committed to building for TELKOM  Indonesia.”
