Airtel launches 3G services in J-K

Telecom major Bharti Airtel today commenced 3G services in Jammu and Kashmir, starting with the summer capital Srinagar.

Chief Executive Officer, Upper North, Mobile service, Shashi Arora told reporters here that with the launch of 3G service, customers in Kashmir will now be able to join the three million plus Airtel customers across the country who are already accessing a host of unique services that 3G enables.

Airtel 3G services can deliver services such as fast mobile internet access, Airtel Mobile TV, Video calls, social networking on-the-go, video streaming and multiplayer gaming, he said.

Arora said eight Airtel 3G experience zones have been positioned across all major locations in the city.
