Vodafone unveils discounted roaming rates for Hajj pilgrims

Vodafone Essar, one of India''s leading cellular service providers, today announced discounted roaming rates for its prepaid and postpaid subscribers travelling to Mecca for the annual haj pilgrimage.

 

Vodafone is the first telecom operator to provide their customers with a product exclusively for Haj pilgrims, a company release here said. Customers can enjoy reduced call rates on all incoming and outgoing calls while roaming in Saudi Arabia and the offer is valid up to Nov 28.

 

Through this, Vodafone customers can enjoy 30 per cent reduction in incoming and outgoing rates while in Saudi Arabia. Subscribers can make outgoing local calls at prices as low as Rs 35/min, international calls at Rs 84/min and receive calls at Rs 87/min.

 

Mr K.Sundraraman, Business Head, Vodafone Kerala said that customers on active international roaming can avail the service with no additional rental fee apart from the roaming rental charge of Rs 149/month for post-paid customers and Rs 99 for prepaid customers.
