Court revokes ban on Samsung Galaxy tablet sale in Australia
TT Correspondent |  |  10 Dec 2011

An Australian Court on Friday revoked a ban on the sale of Samsung Galaxy tablet computer in a global patent fight with Apple Inc. The verdict has come as bliss for Samsung during the Christmas season.

Apple and Samsung are fighting 30 legal cases in 10 countries since April in what many think a fierce race for dominance of smartphone and tablet markets.

The Court ruling allows Samsung to sell device to Australian shoppers for the final weeks of the key Christmas shopping season and came a week after a US court denied Apple's plea to ban Galaxy phones and tablets in the country.
