RIM organizes BBM Hackathon event in Gurgaon
TT Correspondent |  |  11 Jan 2012

Research In Motion (RIM) is organizing a two day BBM Hackathon Event in Gurgaon which is expected to be attended by more than 45 developers who will create BBM connected applications with support from the BlackBerry developer relations team.

The BBM Hackathon provides an exciting opportunity for developers to create intuitive and networked applications on BBM – one of the world’s most popular mobile social networking platforms. Developers will also get a chance to interact with BlackBerry® platform experts and network with other developers while absorbing new ideas for integrating social elements into their apps.

It will give participants direct access to members of the BBM development and product teams who can help attendees understand how to integrate the BBM Social Platform into their application. Attendees will also be able to learn different techniques to integrate viral/social aspects into their application and get answers for their questions from experts.

Each of the participants will receive a BlackBerry smartphone and the developer with the winning app will be awarded a BlackBerry® PlayBook. The winner of the Hackathon will also have their application available on BlackBerry App World.
