Samsung slashes price of Galaxy Tab 2 in India with govt. proposing increase in tax for handsets
TT Correspondent |  |  28 Feb 2013

With the industry and people grudging the proposed increase in tax for handsets above Rs.2,000, Samsung has provided some solace to its customers by slashing  price of both the versions of its Galaxy Tab 2 in India.

The company has reduced the price of Galaxy Tab 2 P3110 to Rs 12,750 from Rs 13,900, the price at which it was launched early this month.  Samsung also cut the price of Galaxy Tab 2 P3100 from Rs 19,500 to Rs 16,499.

The experts feel that this is the result of the intense competition. Samsung early thuis month reduced the prices of its two flagship smartphones - Galaxy Note II and Galaxy S III. It also cut the price of Galaxy Camera within two monrths of its launch in India.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 comes with 7 inch PLS TFT display, and is one of the sleekest Tab 2 in the galaxy family. The advantage of this design is its weight of 345 grams. It measures 193.7 mm, 122.4 mm and 10.5 mm in height, width and depth.
