CRF Institute is an independent organization that identifies top performers in the field of Human Resources worldwide has adjudged India’s leading IT firm Tata Consultancy services (TCS) as top employer in Europe ahead of 20 other companies for 2013.
 
TCS got the top position of the basis of its excellent performance in core HR areas like primary conditions, secondary benefits, working conditions, training, career development and company culture.
 
CRF Institute said that TCS was assessed for the first time at the continental level. It said that based on the outstanding conditions they create for their staff, they conclusively showed a remarkable performance in our research.
 
“They are not only a great employer for their staff, but also set an example for other employers around the world”. It said.
 
TCS was chosen as first among the final 20 companies participating at a continental level. In order to reach the continental level, each company was required to have been previously certified at a Top employer in at least 5 individual countries in Europe.
 
The final group of 20 companies had participated at a national level in 26 European countries with their 129 certified subsidiaries. In national rounds, TCS had been adjudged a Top employer for the first time in Belgium, Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland; while its UK unit secured the certification for a third year in a row.
 
The Top employer certification, based on independent research done by the CRF Institute and audited by Grant Thornton, demonstrated that TCS performed exceptionally well across all key areas of HR practice. In particular, the survey recognized TCS’ contribution in the categories related to outstanding Working Conditions, Training and Development, Career development, Cultural Management and Company Culture.
