WhatsApp scotches rumors about its acquisition by Google-Report

WhatsApp has denied that Google is planning to acquire it as reported in media reports yesterday. The reports suggested that Google is reportedly in talks with WhatsApp to buy it for US$1 billion.
  
Neeraj Arora, WhatsApp's head of business development has been quoted by DigitalTrends.com as saying that the company is not in talks with Google over acquisition.
 
According to reports, both Google and Facebook have made attempts to acquire WhatsApp in December 2012.
 
With users on WhatsApp sending nearly 700,000 messages each minutes on  iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Windows Phone and Nokia, it has become very popular and successful. It claimed that 18 billion total messages processed in one day on December 31.
