Intex has launched Intex i-Buddy Connect 3G which it says will take care of the needs of the high users of the internet, especially the youth. The 7-inch 3G enabled tablet has a price tag of Rs. 9,990 which can take on other brand in sub-10k price range. The company is targeting the urban and semi-urban youth with low budget tablets.
 
The tablet runs on 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich and powered by a 1Ghz dual-core processor. Intex i-Buddy Connect 3G which is available in two colors - black and brown- has 4GB internal memory expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. It sports a 3-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front camera. It comes with 3,500mAh Li-ion battery.
 
The tablet which has been constructed around the entertainment and educational needs of the students comes preloaded with NCERT text books through Educlass app from class 1- 2 and interactive content on a variety of subjects. The tablet also offers HDMI connectivity. Apart from 3G, it also offers Wi-Wi option.
 
For social media lovers it has applications like Nimbuzz, Skype, Facebook, and Yahoo Messenger.
 
According to Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, General Manager- Mobile Business, Intex Technologies, the company is encouraging the digital growth trend by creating such products that would empower the youth to have the latest technology a click away.
