Race for Quad-core smartphones, phablets heats up: Now, XOLO Q700 launched at Rs 9999

So one can safely assume that the Quad-core battle for smartphones and phablets is finally on with ZOLO on Monday launching Q700 which it claims is world’s first multi profile Android smartphone with 1.2 GHz Quad-core processor. The device has a price tag of Rs 9999.

The company is clearly focusing on a full range of Smartphones with Quad–Core processors under its new QCORE series. Earlier, the company had launched its first Quad-core smartphone Q800, XOLO - the Premium Smartphone brand.

Micromax in February had launched Canvas HD (A116) a phablet.  The phone comes with MediaTek’s quad-core processor. Before that Karbonn Mobiles has launched the Karbonn Smart Titanium 1 - India’s first quad-core CPU smartphone. The device is powered by powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Recently Karbonn S2 Titanium was launched quad-core processor.

The XOLO Q700 runs on latest Android Jelly bean v4.2 and powered by 1.2 GHz Quad-core processor.  It has a 4.5" qHD IPS display with One Glass Solution (OGS) Technology which makes the touch experience of the device much more responsive.  It has a resolution of 960x540 with 245 PPI and can play 720p videos. It comes with 4 GB of internal storage and 1 GB of RAM for a smoother smartphone experience.

XOLO has introduced XOLO Unlimited which gives its users an access to 3 special apps - XOLO Switch, XOLO Secure and XOLO Power.  XOLO Q700 will come pre-loaded with XOLO Unlimited and currently it is exclusively available on Q700 only.

The XOLO Q700 sports a 5 MP rear camera and front VGA camera. The rear camera comes with BSI sensor technology which delivers advanced imaging capabilities. BSI (Back Side Illumination) Sensor enables to click clear and crisp pictures even in low light environment as it increases the amount of light captured by the lens, hence improving low light imaging performance. The rear camera can shoot 720p videos.
