Dual-SIM Intex Cloud X3 smartphone with MediaTek’s dual-core processor launched for Rs. 3,790 in India

Intex Technologies has launched another smartphone the Cloud X3 with 3.5-inch display at Rs 3,790 for the Indian customers.

The Intex Cloud X3 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and powered by a 1GHz dual core MediaTek MT6572 processor. It comes with 256MB RAM and sports  a 2-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front facing camera. It has 115MB of internal memory that is expandable up to 32GB through microSD card.

The dual-SIM entry-level phone supports  GSM+GSM support and has features such as  Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, gravity sensors, video recorder, audio recorder, motion sensors, and GPS.

The Intex Cloud X3 packs in a 1450mAh battery which gives 6 hours of talktime and 200 hours of standby time.

The Intex Cloud X3 is available in two colours, White and Black.

Intex which is aiming to increase its revenue by 400% mainly through smartphone sales is planning to launch more smartphones within two months.

Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, GM-Mobility Division, Intex Technologies Ltd said, "The feature phone market in India has matured and there is a subsequent growth in the smartphone category. Building on this burgeoning market, Intex offers its latest smartphone Cloud X3 that is especially designed to meet the need of entry level users who would like to migrate to a more sophisticated mobile experience".

Taiwan’s chipset maker MediaTek which has a tie-up with domestic handset maker like Micromax has its MT6572 processor fitted in Intex Cloud X3.

Dr. Finbarr Moynihan, General Manager - Business Development, MediaTek Inc said, "MediaTek continues to drive the democratization of smartphones by re-defining the entry level segment, moving the baseline to dual-core processing with the MT6572. This new dual-core chipset, designed to offer excellent performance to end users, integrates a power-efficient dual-core Cortex-A7 CPU sub-system with speeds up to 1.3GHz in the leading 28nm process technology."

The last phone Intex launched in India was 5-inch, Android Intex Aqua I-5 smartphone for the Indian customers. Available in two colors- white and black, the smartphone has a price tag of Rs. 11,690.

Intex Aqua I-5 runs on Android 4.2 and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor. It comes with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
