WeChat's free 1GB cloud storage is a failure, customers loosing interest in the app

WeChat, started offering 1Gb of free cloud storage to its users to store videos, images and documents of their need. "The 'Favourite Message with 1GB cloud storage' feature enables users to save their favourite memories in the form of texts, videos and picture format without having to compromise on their device space and, also enables them to access these with just one touch whenever they want," Tencent India Vice-President, Marketing and Business Development, Nilay Arora said, Reports, PTI

WeChat users can now use ‘Favourite’ option on their chat screen to save multiple file formats which includes videos, pictures, text messages and voice messages directly on to the cloud. The application is driven by a Chinese firm Tencent, which will enable its users to access the stored data from multiple devices at any point of time.

WeChat has 41% of Indian smartphone users and 100 million registered users from outside its home country of China. WeChat is available for free download in smartphones like, Nokia X, Android, BlackBerry, iOS, Symbian and Windows operating systems as well.

                                                 

The new 1Gb of free cloud storage will definitely help the smartphone users, which have limited space in their smartphones and tablets.
