Alert: Xiaomi enters into Indian market with the launch of Mi3, Redmi 1s and Redmi Note smartphones

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi, on Tuesday steps in into the Indian market with a range of flagship Mi smartphones and an exclusive partnership with e-commerce giant Flipkart for sale and delivery of these products across India. Mi3 is the first smartphone Xiaomi has launched in India. Priced at Rs. 13,999 Mi 3 will go on sale on July 22. It is exclusively available on Flipkart.
 
In addition, Xiaomi has announced it will also launch Redmi 1S and Redmi Note over the next few weeks. These Mi smartphones deliver high performance at even more affordable prices. The 4.7-inch Redmi 1S will retail at Rs 6,999, while the 5.5-inch octa-core Redmi Note will go for Rs. 9,999.

Mi3 sports a 5 inch full HD LCD display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution at a pixel density of 441ppi. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system with Xiaomi own MIUI version 5. It is powered with 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2 GB RAM. Mi3 comes with a 16GB inbuilt storage with no expandable option.

                   

It has a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 2 megapixel front camera. It is backed by a 3050 mAh battery ensuring long back-up and talk time. Mi3 measures 144 x 73.6 x 8.1 mm in height, width and depth and weighs 145 grams. It will be available in Metallic Grey colour. For Connectivity it includes: 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and NFC.

1. Login using Flipkart account
2. Register for the sale on Mi Store on Flipkart (www.flipkart.com/Mi)
3. Buy a device on the day of sale (22nd July). Only customers who register before July 22 will be able to purchase their Mi 3 on the sale day
