ASUS sells 40000 Zenfone smartphones in just 4 days of its Indian debut
TT Correspondent |  |  16 Jul 2014

ASUS on Wednesday has revealed that 40000 units of its Zenfone smartphone have already been sold within 4 days of the debut in Indian market. Post the launch on July 9, 2014, ASUS Zenfone Series has been available exclusively on Flipkart and through offline ASUS authorised channels. Zenfones have reached audiences in more than 300 cities with the extensive reach of Flipkart.

"We are overwhelmed with the response received within just 4 days of the launch. The reaction from the Indian masses has been astonishing owing to our partnership with Flipkart and our offline channels. It is surprising to see that the product has reached to 300 cities immediately post launch. We believe that we have come much closer to delivering as per our users’ needs and wants. Aesthetically crafted Zenfones have been successful to touch the heart of Indian tech lovers and we are affirmative that we are going to witness greater response in the near future", said Peter Chang, Regional Head - South Asia & Country Manager – System Business Group - ASUS India.

With such tremendous response we can expect good competition from Asus in the coming days. Also, yesterday Xiaomi has debuted in the Indian market with its Mi series of smartphones and is already grabbing attention for its smart hardware and technical specifications.
