TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  05 May 2009

In line with its new brand proposition- Suno Dil Ki Awaaz, Tata Teleservices had earlier launched ‘Dil Ki Awaaz’ talent hunt for budding singers to showcase their talent. The operator today announced the names of eight fresh singers selected from Delhi & NCR.

Together, Tata Teleservices also came out with a compilation of songs, featuring the eight talents- Narmada, Cipher, Nigambodh, Airborne, Antardhwani, Jasba, Akhil and Mohit.

While unveiling the album, Vineet Bhatia, COO Delhi & NCR, Head North Region, Tata Teleservices said, “In our endeavor to promote young and deserving talent, Tata Indicom had promoted Dil Ki Awaaz – musical carnival across all malls and high footfall areas in Delhi. We got a humongous response where 40 entries were shortlisted for auditions and were given opportunity to perform live after competitive stage performances and strict evaluation. Tata Indicom had initially conceptualized the initiative and executed the same in partnership with co-sponsors.”

Also present at the occasion were Peenaz Masani and Harshit Saxena, of the Voice of India fame.

On the look out for fresh talents, TataIndicom doled out musical carnival crosswide. The event, which was grouped in two different phase invited all forms of singers- ranging from solo singers to instrumentalists and bands. The best chosen, eight bands / singers in the finale won an opportunity to compose their own album.
