Tata Teleservices partners Yahoo! India to offer web interface

Tata Teleservices Ltd has forged an exclusive partnership with Yahoo! India for providing web interface to all Tata Indicom users.

 

According to the terms of the deal, a co-branded Yahoo! will be the default homepage for all Tata Indicom Internet access devices, which means any customer logging on to the Internet using any Tata Indicom Internet access device or service, will be received by a co-branded Yahoo! India homepage with ready access to all Yahoo! services.

 

This partnership with Tata Teleservices will pave way for Yahoo! India to touch upon millions of users subscribing to Tata Indicom Internet services like- Photon Plug2Surf, Photon Plus and Photon Pro Wireline Broadband.

 

“Our partnership with Yahoo! India is first of its kind in the telecom space in India. This alliance will allow Yahoo! to reach a wider audience in the Internet and digital spaces, and gain access to a captive user base to create not only a deeper connection with users, but also deliver a seamless user experience across platforms,” said Lloyd Mathias, Chief Marketing Officer of Tata Teleservices Limited.

 

Tata Teleservices too will benefit, with an easy access to the best online content and communication services through Yahoo!’s flagship properties like Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! Search, Yahoo! News, Yahoo! Cricket, Yahoo! Mobile, etc.

 

Also, Tata Indicom subscribers will have an instant way of seeking relevant information on services like bill payment, tariff plans, promotions, etc. on the portal.
