BSNL Tender Update: HC asks BSNL to explain reasons for disqualifying NSN
TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  27 May 2009

The High Court of Punjab and Haryana has asked BSNL to submit reasons for disqualifying Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) on technical grounds for its mega GSM tender.

While BSNL asked for more time to submit its response, the Court rejected it and directed it to file its reply by today i.e. Wednesday.

All eyes are now set on the Court’s hearing. If the Court rules out in favour of NSN BSNL will not only lose face but also its tender process will be delayed and it may have to float the tender afresh.

NSN has also approached the DoT and CCI apart from HC. It is the only company among the other disqualified vendors which is actually questioning the credibility of the tender process.
