Bharti Airtel introduces Journalist Card for Media community of Meghalaya

Telecom mogul Bharti Airtel has introduced a Journalist Card, an exclusive prepaid complimentary ‘Start Up Kit’ for the media fraternity of Meghalaya.

 

With this card, calls made between the Closed User Group (CUG), i.e. the media community will be at 30 paise per minute.

 

The call rates outside the media clan will be 50 paise per minute for Airtel to Airtel local calls at night and Re 1 per minute for all other local calls. While STD calls will be Rs.1.50 per minute, local SMS will be charged 25 paise per message for Airtel to Airtel and Re 1 for others and Re 1.50 per message for national SMS.

 

The media community availing for the benefit will not be charged, but will have to submit the mandatory documents, said Sudipto Chowdhury, Chief Operating Officer of

Bharti Airtel Ltd.

 

The plan represents one of the many plans for specifically formulated for the upliftment of various segments of society, like students and Defence Forces, added Mr. Chowdhury.
