Huawei Technologies showcased two new smartphones at CommunicAsia 2009 in Singapore, namely the U8230 powered by Android and the C8000 powered by Windows Mobile.
The U8230 promises to allow users to switch between full and half QWETY keyboards and to navigate programs easily. It also comes preloaded with Google Chrome browser and also supports various Google applications such as Google Map, Google Search, Google Talk etc.
Huawei claims that the phone battery has a capacity of 1500mAH thereby making it the longest battery capacity of any Android-based phone.
For the C8000, the company has provided a 3-D menu graphic user interface and a unique independent display adapter enabling smooth presentation of video files.
“Having joined the Open Handset Alliance in 2008, Huawei is rapidly moving forward with the development of cutting-edge high-end handsets, especially smartphones powered by Android and Windows Mobile operating systems,” said Glory Chueng, the spokesperson of Huawei Terminals. “The U8230 and the C8000 handsets on display here at CommunicAsia take the interactivity experience of smartphones to a whole new level and Huawei is looking forward to working with our customers to bring them to market later this year.” |
