BSNL launches new VAS services delivery platform

BSNL announced the launch of its new service delivery platform, ‘BSNL Live’ with an aim to offer services such as video on demand, movie steaming to name a few for its 3G subscribers.

 

“The portal has movie streaming, games, full track songs, video clips and it will be a single window shop for all the mobile value added contents," said Kuldeep Goyal, CMD BSNL.

 

The new platform built in technical assistance with Ericsson will provide a converged platform for mobile network operators, media companies, service providers etc.

 

While in the initial phase the services offered under the platform will be available to subscribers in over 100 cities northern and eastern parts of India including Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, UP, Uttrakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Orissa, Andaman and Nicobar, gradually 760 more cities from across the nation will be added to the list.

 

Content such as games will be offered for Rs35 to Rs100, songs for Rs 15, videos for Rs 10 to Rs 20, video on demand for Rs 40 and wallpapers at Rs 10.

 

BSNL also premiered forth coming movie ''Jail' on its 3G platform.
