MTNL performs poorly in Q1 with net loss at Rs 46.84 crore

MTNL followed BSNL in recording poor performance even as private operators continue to notch good profits. The PSU which offers its services in Mumbai and Delhi circle reported Rs 1085.36 crore in the June quarter as compared to Rs 1275.57 crore.

 

The net loss for the company was at Rs 46.84 crore as compared to a loss of Rs 112.53 crore during the corresponding quarter last quarter.

 

The only parameter which grew for the company was the expenditure which increased to Rs 115.7 crore from Rs 112.5 crore a year ago.
