BSNL betters Vodafone in slashing roaming tariffs
TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  08 Dec 2009

BSNL on Monday introduced two options for its subscribers for roaming services which includes a flat rate of 49 paise per minute and a one paisa per second plan. For calls made to other networks the roaming tariffs will be 1.2 paisa per second.

"This is an attempt to join the price war scenario currently prevailing in the industry, our primary aim is to bring the advantage of our network to our customers,” said BSNL CMD Kuldeep Goyal.

The current charges for roaming for BSNL’s subscribers were Re.1 to Re.1.50 per minute.

Vodafone last week had offered its subscribers a flat rate of 70 paise per minute or a 1.5 paisa per second rate.
