Aircel to finalise buyer for telecom tower arm within six weeks

Aircel said that it will finalise buyer for its 17,000 telecom towers within six weeks.

“We have not concluded the deal. We are in the final stages of discussions with three players and will finalise a buyer in the next four to six weeks,” said COO, Mr Gurdip Singh.

The company has close to 38,000 towers with 17,000 owned by it.

Tata Quippo and GTL are considered to be in the race for this acquisition.
