MTNL CMD R S P Sinha resigns
TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  12 Jan 2010

MTNL CMD R S P Sinha has resigned from the company, 18 months before his tenure was to expire.

The CMD was already on a five year extension. In fact his extension was also questioned and the case was being challenged in the Delhi HC. The petitioner had alleged that the CMDs extension was against prevailing laws and had also alleged that the CMD favoured Motorola.

But today’s development appears to be isolated from this and the surprise development has got more to do with the meeting conducted by the PMO recently to discuss the company’s declining performance.

The company is yet to announce replacement for Sinha.
