Penultimate day ends with Etisalat, TTSL and Tata Comm applying for auctions

March 18, 2010, the penultimate date before the last day of submitting applications for participating in 3G and BWA spectrum auctions ended on a high note with new more players submitting their respective applications after 4.00 pm.

New entrant Etisalat submitted bids for 3G spectrum auctions. Interestingly the firm is yet to launch its 2G-based mobile services.

Tata Teleservices (TTSL) also submitted its bid for spectrum auctions in the 3G band meaning that the 3G domain may witness competitive bidding with many interested players in the field.

TTSL’s sister concern, Tata Communications also submitted its bids for BWA spectrum auctions.

New entrant S Tel is likely to submit its bid tomorrow for spectrum auctions in the 3G band.
