Virgin Mobile launches GSM services in Kolkata

Virgin Mobile launched its GSM-based mobile services in Kolkata as well as some other circles including Uttar Pradesh (East), Uttar Pradesh (West), Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana.

Virgin Mobile services under GSM platform are now available in 14 circles with the other circles being the whole of southern region, Orissa, Mumbai and Maharashtra.

The company already offers CDMA-based services on a pan-India basis.
