IMImobile ties up with Malayalam News channel, Indiavision for live streaming services on Idea

Hyderabad-based VAS player, IMImobile tied up with Malayalam TV News channel, Indiavision to offer live news broadcast streaming services to subscribers of Idea in Kerala.

The Indiavision TV live voice news broadcast will be offered on a subscription-based model and will enable Idea subscribers in Kerala to listen to live news in Malayalam on their mobile handsets. The services will be offered over an IVR platform.

The services are priced at Rs.20 monthly rental and browsing charges of one paisa per 3 seconds will be applicable. Subscribers can also listen to the service by dialing 5234567. Calls to this number will be charged at Rs.3 per minute.

On the launch, Madhavan Iyer, Vice President Managed Services, IMImobile said, “We are delighted to offer this unique value proposition for both IndiaVision and Idea Cellular to reach out to their respective target audiences. Idea Cellular is the largest telecom operator in Kerala with a subscriber base of 5.5 million.

“We always wanted to associate ourselves with the companies who offer a qualitative return to our existing pack of business. This integration with IMIMobile and Idea Cellular will enable us to reach out to the target audiences in a more personalized manner but will also act as an additional support system for our viewers to get live news feed,” added Jamaludeen Farooquee, Resident Director, Indiavision TV.
