MTNL says will work towards long-term debt management to take care of loans

MTNL which is burdened with Rs.7,500 crore loan taken towards making payment for 3G and BWA spectrum said that it will repay most of the debt within six months to one year and then subsequently plan towards long-term debt management.

 

"There are various options to go for long-term debt management. First of all, we are going for credit rating of the PSU shortly," said Kuldeep Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, MTNL.

 

MTNL has procured the loan at interest rate varying between 7.3 % to 7.5%.
