Govt sets up panel to review proposals for revival of BSNL
TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  08 Jul 2010

The Telecom Commission on Wednesday appointed an internal panel comprising members from the Communications Ministry that will submit its report within a month on the proposals to revive the performance of PSU BSNL.

The proposals under review include share sale and restructuring plans.

The BSNL Board is seeking a 10% divestment of stake through listing, a move strongly opposed by the company’s Union.

The internal panel will take inputs from the Employee Unions while reviewing the proposals.
