BSNL Employees Union asks govt to refund Rs.18,500 cr 3G and BWA spectrum fee

The Employees Union of PSU, BSNL have asked the government to refund the Rs.18,500 crore paid by the operator towards 3G and BWA spectrum fee. The Employees union have threatened to go on a strike if the demand is not met.

The Joint Action Committee (JAC) represented by three lakh executives and non-executives of BSNL has also demanded exempting the PSU from paying licence fee on fixed lines.

The Union may call for a three-day strike from September 21 as a mark of protest. They have also threatened to go on a indefinite strike in case the government fails to meet their demands in totality within a reasonable timeframe.
