Qualcomm to announce its partner for BWA foray in the Indian market

Chipmaker Qualcomm which has bagged Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) spectrum in four circles is set to announce its domestic Indian partner for the foray.

Reports say that the company is likely to announce two partners namely GTL Infra and Tulip Telecom.

Indian rules and regulations require foreign firms keen on offering telecom services to have atleast one Indian partner. Moreover foreign firms cannot hold more than 74% stake in the joint venture.
