Micromax launches Pike X510 based on MediaTek chipset

Micromax launched a new mobile handset, Pike X510 powered by chipset from MediaTek.

The handset has 240*400 touchscreen display, widgets for social networking, 2.0 megapixel camera, FM radio, Bluetooth and expandable memory for up to 16 GB.

“The X510 is one of our latest offerings equipped with almost all the latest features at a fraction of the price of high-end phones. The X510 promises to be a best seller as it is a great value-for-money phone. All this has been made possible with MediaTek’s chipset solution which is at the heart of all the action you see on the PIKE screen” said Vikas Jain, Business Director, Micromax Mobile.

“MediaTek’s chipsets are the most popularly used chipsets in handsets these days. It runs on a high frequency with an ARM based technology at its core and enables a host of functions in phones like Bluetooth, EDGE etc.” says Arun Gupta, Director, Business Development, MediaTek
