  Telecom Infrastructure company, Indus Towers announced achieving an industry-first mark of 100,000 telecom towers thereby stamping its position as a leading player in the telecom infrastructure sector in India.

“The timely provision of tower space and excellent operations and maintenance service for our customers are the primary focus areas at Indus Towers, along with achieving a high tenancy ratio” added Stefan Langkamp, CEO - Indus Towers.
With a focus on rural areas, the company is maintaining its growth momentum with addition of about 7,000 towers every month. It aims for a tenancy ratio of 2 per site.
The company says that it will set up a 24 x 7 Tower Operating Center (TOC) by July 2009, which will monitor, control and analyze all tower site related activities to provide a better network uptime to its customers.
Currently operating in 16 circles, Indus Towers was formed as a JV between Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Essar and Idea Cellular. |
