Mobixell has come up with a new version of its Rich Media Service Centre (RMSC) solution, Rich Media 7 which aims to streamline video, MMS, offline content and web over a single hub on a single platform. This way the management becomes simplified, reporting becomes easier, hardware & software costs reduce and eliminates the need to purchase independent media adaptation systems for each media type.
Video adaptation and streaming are the enhancements to the original RMSC. The platform also includes a terminal database of all handsets and configurations that automatically adapts multimedia content to a user’s specific device, without the need for any manual intervention, says the firm.
Avichai Levy, Executive VP Marketing, at Mobixell comments, “The value of the system is in the synergy between Web, Video streaming, Multimedia and offline content adaptation, which provides excellent user experience in services such as video-rich web browsing. With major sporting events like the football World Cup and the Olympics on the horizon, operators are looking at the potential pulling power of these events to increase revenues from multimedia services such as video, browsing and rich-media messaging, without major expense and disruption to their existing network. This is precisely why we believe our upgraded platform offers a winning combination.”
Simon Darr, AVP Marketing, at Mobixell added, “By incorporating four Multimedia adaptation systems into a single system, mobile operators will be able to save up to 50% on operating and capex costs and - in times of economic struggle - this is sure to come as welcome news. By utilizing Mobixell’s Rich Media 7 solution, operators can roll out the full gamut of multimedia services with ease, as well as introducing new ad-funded business models. Our solution makes all types of content available to the widest possible base of users, irrespective of their handset, network or connection speed.” |
