Lava to launch India’s first Android Jelly Bean 4.2 tablet in May, price expected below Rs 10,000

Lava has said that it will launch Android Jelly Bean 4.2 tablet for the first time in India. The device which is yet to be named will make debut in early May will be sold with sub-Rs 10,000 price tag.

It will be powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and will come with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot. The device will sport 2-magapixel rear and VGA front cameras and an HDMI port. As for the connectivity it will have Wi-Fi option only. It will come with a 3,700 mAh battery.

There is suspense over 3G support, but the presence of optional data connectivity via 3G data dongles could be expected.
