Chinese manufacturer, Gionee has launched its World's slimmest Android smartphone Elife S5.5 in India for Rs. 22,999. And, now company has released Android KitKat update for Gionee Elife S5.5.

Its 865.71MB file is available as an OTA update and can be accessed under Setting > System Updates, with all the goodies that come with KitKat, the update also adds a new desktop layout and Du speed booster for faster operations.

The company has also updated the Amigo Paper as well as GameZone with new user interface.

It has 5 inch display and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Gionee's Amigo UI running on top. It is powered by 1.7GHz true octa-core processor with 2GB RAM. It has 13-megapixel rear camera with the world's first 95 degree ultra-wide angle and 5-megapixel front camera. It has a non-removable 2,300mAh battery.

The smartphone comes with 16GB of internal storage with no further expandability option via microSD card and for Connectivity options, the Elife S5.5 include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB OTG.

The Gionee Elife S5.5 will be available in Black, White, Blue, Pink, and Purple.
