Telecom equipment supplier Motorola said it has bagged a contract from UPC Broadband (UPC), the European division of Liberty Global to deploy its SBV6120E EuroDOCSIS 3.0 voice and data solution across its networks in the Netherlands, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Switzerland.

With this implementation, UPC will be able to offer its customers with its flagship ‘Fiber Power’ high-speed data service with speeds of up to 120Mbps.

“As a leading provider of DOCSIS 3.0 solutions, Motorola’s modems are a key element in enabling UPC to provide our Fiber Power service, which is perfectly placed to meet the customer demands for increased bandwidth and multimedia experiences,” said Eric Lennon, CTO of UPC Broadband.
