Obopay appoints Dilip Nagaraja as new Executive Vice President for Global Engineering

Mobile money service provider, Obopay today announced the appointment of Dilip Nagaraja as the company’s new Executive Vice President of Global Engineering. Dilip will be based out of Bangalore and will oversee optimization of global engineering activities across all the offices of the company.

Speaking on the appointment, Ms. Carol Realini, CEO of Obopay, said, “We are pleased to have Dilip on board as he brings deep rooted experience in overseeing engineering and technology organizations across multiple geographies. His established leadership experience spans across key vertical markets, including financial services and mobile, that make Dilip ideally suited for this role. Dilip will strategically guide the company’s technical direction as we continue to develop state-of-the-art mobile payment products and drive our business to newer heights in the developed and emerging markets.”

 Dilip has earlier worked for Intuit’s Accountant Products Division, Pivotal Corporation, i2 Technologies, Stonebridge Technologies, Fidelity Investments and AT&T. He holds his BS from College of Engineering, J.N.T. University, Hyderabad, India and MS from Arizona State. 

Nokia holds minority stake in Obopay. In India Obopay has tied up with Yes Bank for Mobile Money Transfer services.
