BSNL sees capex of Rs 500 cr for MNP
TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  02 Dec 2009

BSNL is geared up to upgrade its network to be MNP ready before December end and is spending close to Rs 500 crore for this.

BSNL CMD, Kuldeep Goyal said that the company has already placed orders to procure equipments for MNP upgrade.

He said that MNP may lead to network congestion as each call will have to be routed to central number database which can result in traffic in the network tripling as compared to current levels.
