Samsung launches Metro 3G S 5350 mobile handset in India for Rs 8,250

Samsung Electronics today launched its Metro 3G S 5350 handset in the Indian market making it the fifth Metro Series model of the firm.

On the launch Ranjit Yadav, Director IT & Telecom, Samsung Electronics stated, “Metro 3G is the first phone in the Metro series that offers 3G connectivity and access to SNS and IM features. This stylish phone also scores on account of its enhanced multimedia features .” While the phone’s metallic exterior gives it a premium look , the metallic decorations around the camera lens, navigation key and the battery cover add to the overall style of the phone .It has a curved, ergonomic design and is only 11.9mm thick.

The new handset offers easy access to 9 social networking sites including Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, Picassa, Friendster, Photobucket etc. It also has a chat messenger and supports GTalk, AIM and Palringo chats.

Additionally the phone has a 3.2 mega pixel camera with Smile shot and Panorama shot technology. While it has 256 internal memory, with the use of microSD card the memory can be expanded to 16 GB. The phone supports 9 Indian languages.

It is priced at Rs 8,250.
