Tata DOCOMO extends per sec tariff model to calls made to USA and Canada for subscribers in Punjab
TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  28 Jul 2010

The GSM brand of Tata Teleservices (TTSL), Tata DOCOMO launched ‘ISD Packs’ allowing its subscribers in Punjab to make calls to USA and Canada for one paisa per second.

The vouchers are available for Rs.59 and come with 30 days validity. Another voucher priced at Rs.205 offers talktime of Rs.145 with 30 days validity.

“Tata DOCOMO pioneered the ‘Pay Per Use’ and ‘1 paise per-second’ concepts in India. Just a year later, the launch of this ISD Packs extends our unique pricing paradigm to international calling as well,” Mr Aditya Gupta, TATA DOCOMO’s Hub Head for Punjab, Haryana & Himachal Pradesh, said. “At our launch last year, we had promised to continue to innovate and introduce industry-changing products and services—the ISD Packs are testimony to this promise,” Mr. Gupta added. He further added introducing ISD packs was the need of the market with the shrinking international geographies and desire of the consumer to connect with their loved ones abroad at affordable international tariff. The Rs. 205 & Rs. 59 ISD packs will enable Punjabis to talk their heart out at local call rates!

“The people of Punjab have always been the true representatives of the Indian spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation—and most people in the state of Punjab have near and dear ones living abroad. Our new packs surely are cost-effective proposition for these people, allowing them the convenience of affordable calling to these countries. This is our way of thanking our loyal customers, and we are sure this will delight them and bridge all communication gaps between family members and friends,” said Rajeev Narayan, Vice-President, Corporate Affairs, Tata Teleservices Limited.
