MNP Interconnect to implement MNP in South starting with Karnataka

MNP Interconnection Telecom Solutions India Pvt Ltd., a subsidiary of Telcordia Technologies announced today that it will initiate the implementation of mobile number portability (MNP) system from Karnataka and the process will be completed within six months of receiving the licence.

 

The announcement was made by Richard Jacowleff, Chairman Designate MNP Interconnection Telecom Solutions and President, Interconnection Solutions, Telcordia as well as Ashok Sapra Managing Director, MNP Interconnection Telecom Solutions.

 

Richard Jacowleff, Chairman Designate, MNP Interconnection Telecom Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and President, Interconnection Solutions, Telcordia, said, “We are extremely excited to be part of the new era of communications in India. Ashok Sapra, Managing Director, MNP Interconnection Telecom Solutions Pvt Ltd. said, “We are fully prepared to take on the task of implementing number portability in India. The Indian telecom market is very complex and we are confident that with the expertise and the local understanding of our promoters we will be able to successfully launch number portability services in the country in the timeframe stipulated by the Department of Telecommunications.” 

 

MNP Interconnect has licence to implement MNP in zone 2 comprising of southern and eastern parts of the country.
